1959In 1959, Axel Springer founded his own international news service, SAD. The aim was to obtain international news faster and, above all, more independently. SAD was dissolved in 2001. Today, the Axel Springer Global Reporters Network provides an international alliance of journalists across the company’s transatlantic brands.
