1946Since 1986, young journalists at Axel Springer have been trained in a two-year traineeship at the company’s own educational institution. In its early years, it was called Journalistenschule Axel Springer; from 2007 to 2020, Axel Springer Academy; and today, Axel Springer Academy of Journalism & Technology. Whatever its name, it has always stood for thorough, practice-oriented training, with placements across the company’s brands.
