1978When the growing threat posed by left-wing terrorism meant that Axel Springer’s house on Schwanenwerder island in the Havel was no longer safe and a new building had to be constructed, the publisher temporarily moved into a city apartment owned by Axel Springer on Berlin’s Kurfürstendamm.
